What brings you to Mexico City?

During the first week of February Mexico City plays host to Zona Maco. It's the largest art fair in Latin America, and it is an equally inspiring and good time. My favorite part of the week is that a few of the shows are hosted in houses that are private otherwise. This year I got to see some amazing CC-tapis rugs in a house designed by Agustín Hernández Navarro, a show by Galerie Nordenhake in full-on, floor-to-ceiling red house in Lomas, and a selection by Clasicos Mexicanos in a house designed by Roberto Eibenshutz.

The day you wore Foroli you were?

I wore my tailored shirt and short set on a full day of hopping between galleries and shows. It made me feel very put together even though my schedule wasn't. I styled it with olive green suede slip-ons and sunglasses of the same color. The set is a statement, so I didn't need to do much otherwise which I loved. 

Walk us through your day

Wake up (very important), stretch, answer a few emails and head out for the day. I love to walk and am very into the whole 10,000 steps thing. In between shows I will almost surely be sitting at any outdoor bench or streetside table in the sun. Some of my favorites in Mexico City are Café Trucha, anywhere on Plaza Popocatepetl, Malcriado.

Last interesting conversation or thought you had? 

I recently met an artist I've always admired who told me they had no idea what they were doing. I found it really liberating. No matter how successful, we're all just people doing our thing and hoping that others get it, too.

What are you dreaming of at the moment? 

A hotel project I'm developing with friends in Baja California. A trip through Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Designing my Parisian apartment.
